Fallopian Landscape, 1977

This painting of the Fallopian Tube reveals the artist’s struggle to decide between the flat patterns of the micrographs and transforming them into three dimensional works. In the end the artist pursued the three dimensional approach because he came to feel that space in painting represents the future.
